What is “Green Pal” Initiative?
As part of The Sixth Belt and Road Teenager Maker Camp & Teacher Workshop, which is a continuous activity which attracts STI young talents and science-related practitioners from nearly 60 countries and regions, “Green Pal” Initiative aims to connect students from all over the world together to discuss a sustainable and greener future.
As the first action of 2022, we will invite 8 schools from China to be paired with 8 schools from Belt and Road countries to form 8 international teams working on one of the three categories –
- Scientific videos for public
- campus energy conservation/carbon reduction solutions
- regional climate change issues
Their final products will be presented on the main web page. To have a smooth and efficient execution, we will assign “Green Ambassadors” to each team facilitating and guiding students to work on their respective team assignment.
In the future, “Green Ambassadors” will become bridges to connect Chongqing green industry with developing countries and witnesses of Chongqing’s green sustainable development story.
